At Lazy Cat Homestay, we are committed to making your Ha Giang Loop small group adventure not only safe but also enjoyable and stress-free. As a family-run homestay and trusted local operator, we specialize in small group Ha Giang Loop motorbike tours (6–8 people per group), ensuring personal attention, authentic cultural experiences, and a friendly atmosphere.

Our tours are designed for travelers who want to explore the hidden gems of northern Vietnam, discover local villages, and enjoy the thrill of the open road with the guidance of experienced and licensed easy riders.

To give you peace of mind, every package includes:

  • Travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances

  • Motorbike travel insurance for your ride on the Ha Giang Loop

  • The required Ha Giang travel permit (mandatory for foreigners traveling in the region)

These services are included because we value your safety, comfort, and legal compliance, especially when exploring the breathtaking but remote mountain landscapes of Ha Giang.

1. Cancellation by Guests

We understand that travel plans can change, and we want to remain as flexible as possible while maintaining fairness for both guests and local partners.

  • 30 days or more before the Ha Giang Loop tour start date: 100% refund of the total booking amount.

  • 15 – 29 days before the tour: 50% refund.

  • 7 – 14 days before the tour: 25% refund.

  • Less than 7 days before the tour or no-show: No refund will be issued.

This cancellation policy applies to all Ha Giang Loop small group packages, including the popular 4 days 3 nights Ha Giang motorbike tour, private customized routes, and shorter Ha Giang loop options.

Please note: Travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permit are arranged through third-party providers and may be non-refundable once issued.

2. Cancellation by Lazy Cat Homestay

Your safety always comes first. If Lazy Cat Homestay must cancel a Ha Giang Loop tour due to:

  • Severe weather conditions (storms, heavy rain, landslides)

  • Government restrictions or road closures

  • Safety concerns for drivers or passengers

You will receive a full refund (100%) of your booking, or you may choose to reschedule for another available departure date.

We also ensure that your travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permit will remain valid or be adjusted accordingly for your new travel dates.

3. Refund Process

We aim to make the refund process clear, transparent, and efficient:

  • Refund requests must be sent via email ([email protected]) or WhatsApp (+84 377589555).

  • Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.

  • Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used at booking (credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer).

Please keep in mind that processing times for travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permits may vary depending on the providers.

4. Booking Changes

We know that flexibility is important when planning a trip. That’s why we allow:

  • Date changes: Up to 3 days before the Ha Giang Loop tour start date (subject to availability, free of charge). Your travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permit will also be updated accordingly.

  • Name changes (transfer of booking to another guest): Allowed up to 24 hours before the tour departure, free of charge.

  • Upgrade requests: You may request to upgrade from a small group tour to a private Ha Giang Loop experience, and we will adjust your travel insurance and travel permit accordingly.

5. Special Conditions

In special cases, such as:

  • Sudden illness or medical emergencies

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, landslides)

  • Government restrictions or border closures

We may provide partial refunds, flexible rescheduling, or travel credit valid for future tours.

Our support team will also assist you with updating your travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permit in these situations, ensuring you can continue your journey with confidence and minimal disruption.

6. Non-Refundable Items

Certain items are non-refundable once booked and confirmed:

  • Discounted or promotional Ha Giang Loop tours

  • Extra personal expenses not included in the package (souvenirs, additional transfers, extra food or drinks)

  • Bank fees, card charges (3%), or other transaction costs

  • Third-party arrangements such as travel insurance, motorbike travel insurance, and travel permit, depending on provider conditions
